Chef Derek Thomas

Chef Derek Thomas, CC, hosted the Missouriana Historical Dinners
in Hermann, Missouri, founded The Farmhouse at Bay Bed and Breakfast and filled
the roles of waiter, maitre ’d, bartender and prep cook for The Front Street
Grill, New Haven, Missouri, before he finally realized that cooking was calling
him. Earning his Certified Culinarian certificate while being tops in his
two-year East Central Community College culinary program, Derek cooked for the
staff and members of the Country Club at St. Albans. Currently searching out a
property to develop into an exclusive B&B, Derek caters, chefs and plays in the
kitchen daily. Chef Thomas is also a past Culinary Grant recipient.
