Chef Mike Elsner

Michael Elsner is the Executive Chef of the Hilton
Melbourne Beach Oceanfront Hotel in Melbourne Beach, Florida. He has worked under the
flags of such hotels as Stouffer, Hilton, Adam’s Mark and Omni and several four
star restaurants. His career started in New York City as a part time kitchen
worker at the age of thirteen.
Since then he has cooked for five U.S. Presidents and scores of celebrities whom
he met when Winston-Salem hosted prestigious events such as the National Black
Theatre Festival, The Crosby and The Vantage golf tournaments.
Known for his innovative dishes, he has cooked on local television and radio
programs including the Good Morning Show and has been profiled in several
publications including Restaurateur Magazine, which named Elsner “Chef of the
year”.
Elsner is proud of his top ranking at Chef2Chef.net, a forum created for
culinarians by culinarians to share advice, recipes and inspirations. When not
in his kitchen, he is helping to raise money for various local and national
charities including the Chef2Chef scholarship fund. He was also a part time
instructor in the culinary program at Guilford Technical Community College,
helping to prepare the next generation of great Chefs.
