Healthy Potatoes

Potatoes are a very good source of vitamin C, with one potato containing about 45% of your recommended daily amount. They are also a good source of bone building potassium.

Potatoes are a good source of vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber.

Potatoes are well known for their carbohydrate content. A medium potato will contain approximately 26 grams of carbs, which is under 10% of your daily recommended value.

Potatoes are fat free, cholesterol free, sodium free and a medium potato contains only 3 grams of sugar.

The skin of a potato contains about half of the fiber of a potato.
